upload pdf

Hi,

I will like to know how to upload a pdf so I can add the link to a Mailchimp Autoresponder.

I’ve checked the links to others websites that do the same service and let you download pdfs, and it comes up the following address:

https://www.example.com/wp_content/upload/date/example.pdf

I don’t know how to get there, as when I put me address in there with /wp-content/, nothing happens. Is something I need to configure in WP? Is something to do with uploading the pdf into my ftp site (host)?
