    Dear,
I have huge problems with edit and publish post with 3.9.1: before I was able, after the update nothing is working. I tried all ideas (delete plugins etc) but doesn’t work).

For the post I found a workaround: edit it in the dashboard “quick draft” then you’ll be able to edit and publish.

Regarding upload pictures unfortunately nothing is working: could someone help me please?

@kmessinger: I cannot update any pictures: when I use “Upload New Media” the bar stays in the “crunching” position without ant movements. When I try from add media in the post editor, arrived an error “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.”

    Thanks for the help

I have an interesting news: using the iPad app of wordpress I can do everything (post and upload pictures)!

I know you said you tried everything but I am not sure what you did. The error you are describing comes from a javascript conflict. To find it we need to rule out functions.

    Have you tried:

    • flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    • deactivating all plugins (yes, all) to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). If you can’t get into your admin dashboard, try resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin (read ”How to deactivate all plugins when you can’t log in to wp-admin” if you need help). Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. Also remember to deactivate any plugins in the mu-plugins folder. The easiest way is to rename that folder to mu-plugins-old
    • switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. If you can’t log in to change themes, you can remove the theme folders via FTP so the only one is twentyfourteen. That will force your site to use it.
    • manually upgrading. When all else fails, download a fresh copy of the latest.zip file (top right on this page) to your computer, and use that to copy up. You may need to delete the wp-admin and wp-includes folders on your server. Read the Manual Update directions first.

    Hi

Already posted my infos in another thread. I have the same problem and to me it appears it’s a general upload problem.

I tried drag & drop, I tried the browser uploader, I tried the AddServer plugin to transfer a manually uploaded image into the media library. All I get is a white screen and the browser stops completely. After re-entering WP-Admin panel I see only a blank entry in the media library.

Since I also used the AddServer plugin I am very sure that we speak about a general and not theme related problem.

I was using 3.8.3 before, everything worked well. Now with 3.9.1 I have the upload problem.

I tried different browsers as well and the problem occurs in Chrome, FF and IE.
