    Is there any upload plugin for wordpress which add a upload field to new post form and whih can track the number of downloads of the file.
    the plugin should be such that we can customize the overall placement of link and counter through template tags.i.e. through php templates tags.

    Try https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/download-monitor/ I don’t know if it is work on your WP version.

    I have already tried out the plugin.its good .it has everything i need except one.
    download links can only be show by using using posta tags like [download#id]
    but i don’t want to use post tags.is there any module which just links files automatically to individual posts putting a php code in template files.
