Upload themes

You upload themes to YOUR blog. What register button are you talking about?

Handy.. you have made a good angry point. Thank you for pointing that out to me. No one has pointed that out to me. I understand it is kind of a unclear question.. I did not see it that way at first. I want to upload themes to wordpress. here is a link https://themes.wordpress.net/upload-theme/ When I click on register it doesn’t go to a register page. It goes to another page. I have sent a few e-mails to wordpress but so far nothing.

In order to be able to upload themes, the only thing you need to do, is to create a user. This is to prevent spammers and duplicate uploads, and if a user is caught misusing the service, the IP will be banned and the user will be deleted along with it’s theme uploads.

With this new uploading system you will automatically be marked as the themes owner, and will be able to update the theme from this page.

When your user is created, go to the “Upload theme”-page – you dont have to do anything in the site’s backend.

I can not follow these steps to upload my themes to themes.wordpress.net I need a password.. When I click on register I get the viewer page…

Duh:) That is to UPLOAD themes to the viewer. You presumably want to DOWNLOAD.

As root noted, that particular upload is for folks who have made a theme and want to share it with others. You want to download a theme from the viewer, then follow the link I gave you earlier and upload it to YOUR site.

I sent two e-mails last week. Still nothing… Someone said something about underdesign in another forum…

The theme viewer is under new ownership and is being reconstructed to root out spam and sponsored listings. Registration is closed for right now, so no one can upload.

Do you know when we will be able to upload?

Anyone have any sites where people can upload themes?

UGH?!?! Does anyone read the FAQ? That’s what it’s for! It is the first darn item in the faq (look at the Theme Viewer header, third one from the left)

Open registration is temporarily closed. Email a screenshot or demo of your theme at wpmoderator[at]yahoo[dot]com, along with your preferred user id, and you will get permission to upload new themes once your theme is approved. This could take upto 3 business days due to high volume of incoming emails.
