  • hi

The /wp-content/plugins/ folder is on your webserver, within the folder that WordPress was installed into.

There is now an easier way to install plugins, from within the WordPress admin area. In the left column in the Plugins section, there is an option for AddNew. Click it. You will see a search box – enter wp-e-commerce there and Search Plugins. You will see wp-e-commerce appear in the list. At the very right of the line is a link that says Install. Click it and the plugin will download itself and install itself on your website. This is a lot easier than having to FTP the files to the server.

    Hi

Where is the Plugins section within the WordPress admin area? I can’t seem to find it.

If you have a free wordpress.com blog, you won’t have a Plugins section.
