Uploaded .htaccess, web returns 406 error

  • I installed WP Super Cache, which instrcted me to update .htaccess. It was not possible to just use the button in the plugn administration, so I took the content for new .htaccess and uploaded it to server.

    Since then website returns 406 error and the .htaccess does not even appear on the FTP. When I try to upload just basic WordPress .htaccess, nothing happens.
