    Title says it all.

    After sending to editor, the image is just the image’s title, not the image. Code view, Visual view, doesn’t matter.

  • I would say check the obvious first…
    In the screen where you click “send to editor” or “insert into post” (depending on the version you are using) there should be three radio buttons above that that give options for inserting as “link” “thumbnail”, etc. Check what you have selected there.

    I don’t get those.

    Immediately after clicking the Upload button, I see this:

    I just did something that should have occurred to me long ago: switched db’s. I swapped the wp-config’s db to a newly-created WP db.

    And guess what? The new/virgin db setup allows uploads.

    So it’s a setting that’s stored in the db, because the web files remain the same. Hmm. So which?

    auto_increment was reset to 0 for every table after backing up/restoring the db. That was it.
