Uploaded images broken after URI change

Hi all,

After changing the ‘WordPress address (URI)’, uploaded images are gone. Looking into the db, I see that they contain links with the old URI in them.
(I change the WordPress address with every upgrade… partly so that spammers won’t find the comment post form any more.)

I created a circumvention, by creating a uploads directory outside the wordpress dir, and make a symbolic link from the wp dir to it. When posting images, I change the image path to the new uploads path, so the images keep working when viewing the blog. However, in the dashboard, with ‘Browse all’, I see the filenames instead of the thumbnails.

I think that if one changes the WordPress address, the uploaded files table in the db should be altered accordingly.
