    Hi,

When I upload images in jpg, they are less than 1mb for 1920px image. Then on the Media Library, a webp 3mb image has been generated.

On the webpage front end, confirmed as such, larger webp files.

Is there a bug or somehow my configuration has changed and this unwanted behaviour is occurring?

    Thank you

@orlandosydneyphotographer Interesting, thanks for confirming. Could you please share which theme it is that you are using and I can perform some tests on my side with this. I’d also suggest reaching out to the theme provider to see if this is something that they can address on their side.

Avada theme. From my understanding it is a fairly popular theme.

The two have been working ok together except for the last few weeks. Something changed. No big updates from Avada lately that I recall.

The theme and configuration details should be on the file I shared privately past night.

Hope you find what it is.

@orlandosydneyphotographer I have performed some testing using the Avada theme and I haven’t been able to replicate your issue. This could be because you’re experiencing a multi-conflict with something else, it could be something in your setup but I would say at this stage to reach out to the Avada theme support for more help.

You have the workaround to temporarily disable the theme when uploading images but I appreciate that isn’t the best solution. I hope you can find the answers you’re looking for and that the theme team can help address this for you.

    Hi Adam,

The solution we’ll be going with is to try another plugin that is less experimental. It was fun trying it though.

Hope you guys can find a way to make it more compatible.

Good luck with the project and we may revisit it down the track.
