• Hello!

My problem first occured about two weeks ago. Whenever I upload new pictures, they are automatically cropped to squares. If I click on the picture details, they are shown in the correct format. But when I try to insert them in an article in medium or large size (other than original size), they are shown as squares.

The biggest problem is the following: When I choose an article picture, it gets extremely distorted. I can only use older pictures (those I uploaded more than two weeks ago) as article pictures.

A link won’t help as I of course didn’t publish any articles with those distorted pictures.

I hope you can help me.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,

the PaperCuts Free theme does not use any custom image sizes, so most probably there is a plugin issue which causes your problem. Please try to deactivate all your installed plugins and then upload some images to check whether it could help. If so, then activate all your plugins again (one after another) to find which one causes this problem.

If there is no plugin issue, then please verify your image sizes in “Settings > Media” panel.

You also can use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to regenerate all your previously uploaded images (for all cases, I recommend you to back up your website before this step).

    Best regards,
    Tomas Toman
