• Greetings,

I have a question. I am a novice with using technology and had some help along the way to get where I am now.

Here is what I have done: I used wordpress to upload to a server and my domain name. I have a wordpress blog installed onto my home page of my domain name. That will be a blog and that is fine.

However, I want to sell a digital product on a different page of my site. So, I want to have a sales letter, so the wordpress blog template will not be appropriate to use (I used the notepad chaos template btw). So, I found a free website template online that I want to use. But, I am confused now because I will not be able to upload this site to my wordpress blog.

I want to basically have this website template be the only page on my site that looks like it to sell my digital product. I am stumped and do not know where to go from here. I would appreciate vastly if someone could tell me in simple terms the most effective options for me on how I could go about doing this?

To confirm, I just want one page on my site to NOT have a wordpress template because they are moreso for blogs. Whereas the one page I want to have different will sell a digital product. Again I am a novice with this kind of topic but am anxious to figure something out. Telling me what I need to do in simplistic terms and any links with videos on youtube mirroring your advice would be nice.

I would appreciate if someone can help me. I am so stumped!

  • You can make a completely customized WP template that does not look like a blog at all.

Or just use the static page option in your existing theme. Static pages look like regular website pages, not blogs.

There are many plug-ins for ecommerce…

Thanks Wpyogi for answering! I appreciate it ??

I used this webpage to learn how to create a static page here:

    ^^ I did this…

I have a new question: Since I want my static home page blog to look like a ‘salesletter’ vs. a blog (and I would have a blog as my second page), I do not want any comments, categories, recent posts, friends and links etc to show up on my static home page.

How can I disable all of these options on the home page (aka my static page) only?

    I apprecaite your help.
