Uploading a .zip theme

Can you upload other themes from https://www.ads-software.com/extend/themes/ ?

It let me upload it, but then it gave me a ‘installation failed’…

Yes, I was able to upload them.

firstly check your theme folder format, which you want to upload ,it is .zip or .rar format, it should be zip format ,

All files should be in you folder

images-folder

js-folder
……………………..

filesname

404.php

archive.php

sidebar.php

style.css

index.php

header.php

footer.php

single.php

and other files of theme..

Please check this files in your theme folder..

Yes, I was able to upload them.

In that case, there’s a problem with that specific theme.

I am receiving a connection timeout when uploading for the theme repository.

never mind foxed the problem. I had a huge jpg in the img directory by mistake. EEK!
