uploading an ibook to wordpress

  • Hello all,
    I’m trying to upload an ibook that’s roughly 500mb to be placed on my wordpress site but I’m unable to upload and place the file on the site. The ibook file has been placed on the server, wordpress recognizes it’s there as I tried using a ‘add from server’ plugin, which I imagine works despite this issue.

    Any ideas or workarounds?

    When you try to add the file via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard, what does “Maximum upload file size” say?

    If it’s less than 500MB, here are three ways you can increase it:

    1. Increase the setting values in php.ini (e.g. upload_max_filesize = 600M ; and post_max_size = 600M ; ). Many hosts may not allow this.

    2. Increase the setting values via .htaccess (e.g. php_value upload_max_filesize 600M and php_value post_max_size = 600M ). Many hosts may not allow this.

    3. Ask your hosting provider to do it for you.

    (in the above examples, the limit is set to 600MB)
