Uploading designer file types in WP Project Manager

Using my plugin you could extend the file types allowed by the default uploader of WordPress, this could be done selecting the types you need or even adding your own.

Every addon for WordPress that relies on the Media Library (and its upload system) should be compatible with “WP Extra File Types”.

I have tried to upload an .eps and an .indd file directly into media. Both are not accepted. Can I add extensions somewhere?

Please let me know.

have you checked/added the extensions you want to use in “Settings – Extra File Types” backend page ?

I have added “EPS | .eps | application/postscript” but unfortunately I get the following error message:

“Logo.eps” has failed to upload.
Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.

The same error occurs for “Indesign | .indd | application/x-indesign”.

I’m doing some test on my development machine, i’ll keep you informed about the results

the problem might be related to the output of finfo_* functions, used by WordPress, being sometime different from real mimetypes …

i just released version 0.3.6 of the plugin which add a new “parameter” (Check only file extensions) in the settings page, you have to “enable” it.

Hi, you have to “select” the option “Check only file extensions” in the Settings page.

It is the first option in the page, above every file type (in your screenshot is just above “3D Crossword Plugin”).

Once you have selected that option you have to click on “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.

File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.

I will check php.ini or do you have another solution?

If the file you are trying to upload is bigger than the maximum allowed by your PHP configuration you have to change PHP settings:
