uploading files via XML-RPC in 1.5

I want to use AirBlogger to post to my v1.5 WP blog from my phone via email. Airblogger say i need this fix.

However, that fix relates to WP1.2. Does anyone know what my milage would be when trying to do that in 1.5 ? DOes anyone know if 1.5 includes that fix ?
