• Hello,

The Problem I am having is that I try upload images through a page or through the media tab and it displays the following message:

The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/httpd/vhosts/domainname.com.au/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/05.

The file then doesnt upload at all.

Does anyone know why this could be showing up, or a fix?

    Thanks

  • I’ve ran into this problem many times on various blogs that I manage.

The most common cause for this is that the File Permissions for wp-content have to be set to write – execute – read.

To do this, access your wp-content via FTP, find your File Permissions and set them so that you can write on them.

    Hi,

Assign 755 recursive permissions to wp-content folder of your blog with the help of the web hosting service provider which will resolve this issue positively.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.
