Uploading Images

  • I am working on a new website using Genesis Framework and a Genesis Theme. Jetpack enabled.

    Image uploading and inserting very glitchy.

    Says error in uploading but images are uploaded.
    Cannot insert direct into post/page.

    Image shows in library but won’t attach to page from the library. It will only attach as a featured image to the page if uploaded to the page (difficult to explain!) but it doesn’t show as a featured image on the page. Very odd.

    The little circle just whirls round and round. Also does this when I select add media from the page editor.

    Please don’t tell me to disable all the Plugins to find out which one – can’t bear the thought of this.

    This is the glitchiest installation ever. Spent more time on Support Forums in last 3 days than in my entire life!

    Jetpack doesn’t interact with image uploads, so it shouldn’t cause any issues here, but it could be caused by a conflict with another plugin.

    The best way to find out would be to disable each plugin, one at a time, and try uploading images between each plugin deactivation until you find what’s causing the problem.
    I know that can be a frustrating process, especially when your site is already live, but I’m afraid that’s the easiest way to find out more about what’s causing the problem.

    If you can’t do that on your live site, you can try to create a test site using the same plugins as on your production site, and run your tests there.

    If none of this helps, you’ll need to look at other things that could get in the way of your image uploads, for example file permissions and server file size limits.
