    Hello,

I have just moved my site from localhost to live. & while uploading images through “Media”, I am getting an error says, The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2014/07.

Please, help me out to fix this issue!!

    Thanks in advance!

  • This will be because the folder permissions on the server are stopping it.

You could try setting /wp-content to 755 and you could also ask your webhost if they can fix the permissions so that WordPress can install upgrades, plugins, themes and your uploads.

Its likely that you have solved this problem by now but it could be as simple as asking your host to increase your data quota on your hosting server. The same thing happened to me and it was just because there wasnt enough space on the hosting server to accept all the files.
