According to my hosting tech support it is happening because plug-in generates more than allowed 75000 database requests.

Would be nice to know what the requests are.

Did you try importing using the Start Ajax import button?

How do I find out what requests are?

So I tried ZIP. It uploaded and I got to the Import page. But during the Import itself it kicked me out of the page again.

No, I did not try AJAX Import.

Ask your hosting provider, he claims it….
OR: try installing plugin ‘Query monitor’.

Well, try the Start Ajax import button. You will never(!) get timed out.

If the 75000 db queries is something like a monthly limit, upgrade your hosting contract.

75000 is an hourly limit. Somehow, according to my hosting company, your plug in is causing this during upload. This is the second time I am contacting you about this in a few months.

If you want me to get into this, i need more info about the actual queries done during upload.

I installed Query monitor plug in. Next time I upload I will send you the log.

    I did some research.

If you do not need exif and/or iptc data other than exif date and exif location, switch saving this data off in Table IX-H7 and 8. This will dramatically reduce the number of queries during upload.

If you need this data, the next version will use approx 20-25% less queries, that is all I could find to optimize safely.
