Uploading problem

The message reads:

‘Unable to create directory uploads/2012/09. Is its parent directory writable by the server?’

Try changing the permissions on the wp-content directory to 766. If you still have problems, try 767, 775 or 777. Once your uploads are working, change the permissions on wp-content back to 755 again and check that everything still works OK.

I’m getting ‘Error saving media attachment.’ with all of those.

Is there anything else that could be causing this difficulty and that I can fix please?

Try asking your hosts to check if it’s a folder ownership issue.

I just changed my settings for the upload folder from “/wp-content/uploads” to “wp-content/uploads” and it started working again.
