Uploading products via csv

    Hi there,

    If I import products to an ecommerce store via a csv file, and in the csv file, I can specify the product image as a specific location such as MYURL.com/images-originals/ and upon importing the csv the image is copied into the wp-content > uploads folder

    If I do this, does the plugin still converts these images?

    Hi @rustykins,

    Thank you for your message.

    It would be best if you just check it. If the images are added to the Media Library then such an image should be optimized automatically. If they are not added to the Media Library, then you can activate the option “Convert automatically images from custom directories” in the Advanced Settings tab in the plugin settings panel – this should solve any problem with automatic image optimization.
