I have a Shopify store but now want to shift to WooCommerce. I am aware there is a built-in functionality for importing CSV file with data. However, the products in my Shopify catalog have many variants such as colors and sizes. Can anyone let me know if the built-in import in WooCommerce can accomodate the variants and will the variants appear on my WooCom site the way they appear in Shopify. Or, is it that I have to do manual changes in WooComm.

I will be thankful if someone can guide me through the process.

  • Hi @mjaitly123

Yes, you can import your product through CSV. Although it may seem a little time-consuming, manually migrating your products is free and relatively straightforward.?

    Import CSV screen in WooCommerce
    1. Export and download your product data from Shopify.
    2. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to WooCommerce → Products
    3. Select Import at the top. There, you’ll find a built-in product CSV importer that will make the process easier.
    4. Click Choose File and select the CSV file that you want to import. Click Continue.
    5. You’ll see the Column Mapping screen, where WooCommerce automatically attempts to match the column name of your Shopify CSV file to WooCommerce product fields. You may need to map some of these on your own; do so using the dropdown menus to the right of each row.
    6. Select Run the Importer and wait until the import process is finished.

If you’d also like to import your customer and order data from Shopify, we recommend using either the Migrate & Import Shopify to WooCommerce or Customer/Order/Coupon CSV Import Suite extensions.
