• Hello all,

Using WordPress v4.5. Trying to upload a new theme from ThemeForest.
When I try to upload a ZIP directly to WordPress, I receive an error message:
“Unable to locate WordPress content directory (wp-content)”.

So I go to my host’s FTP site, and I upload the proper files into the wp-content/theme folder.
When I check back under Appearances/Themes, the new theme does not appear.

Common occurance? Common mistake? Seems like WordPress is missing the link to my wp-content folder (which does exist). Any way I can manually direct WordPress to it?

    Thanks for any insight…

Thanks for your reply satvikinfotech. I’m looking into compatability with v4.5, and I have the author checking as well.

The current theme is listed as working through version 4.0. If a theme update is not available from the author, I imagine the solution is as simple as removing v4.5 and working in v4.0? Any potential issues in downgrading?

I don’t think, you will revert from current version ..!!

only possible, if you have old backup of files and DB !!

Other option is to hire someone to make it version compatible !!

    Thanks
