Uploading to media library for searchablitiy

Currently i am using a plugin called SearchWp, what it will do is index the pdf files in the media library for users to be able to search it. But when i upload the pdfs into a file away directory, its not searchable because its not in the media library. Are there any solutions to this? (and yes i am aware that file away has a searchable but it seems to be only relating to the file away plugin)
