Uploading web page, url

  • I have uploaded a webpage using FTP for the very first time.
    Problem is: how do I give it a url?
    I know it is a very basic question, but I have looked online for the solution but not found the answer.
    My website has other pages, but I want a new page added via FTP.
    If I want my page to have url …com.wordpressforum, how do I do that?

  • Put the page in a directory named however you want the URL to show up as. If you want it as wordpressforum then you would create a wordpressforum folder in your root directory and stick the index.php/html/htm file in that folder.
