Uploadong To Media Library – Search Facility Not working

Hi

I’m using WordPress 5.3.2 running Olsen Light theme.

When I try and upload a file to the media file from my computer…the pop up window appears and lets me choose which folder to upload from.

I choose the folder but the ‘windows search’ facility doesn’t work. It won’t allow me to search the folder by putting a name in the search box.

When I use the search facility ‘outside’ of WordPress – i.e. direct on the folder, it works.

Any thoughts as to why that would happen?
