Uploads and MD5 checksums

    Hi all,

    Is anyone aware of a way of assigning an MD5 checksum to an uploaded file in WordPress?

    My media library has a ton of files in it but I’d like to have a .md5 file available with those downloads. I can generate the file manually but I was hoping there might be a way (plugin?) for WordPress to do it automatically. I guess ideally the download link would have an MD5 link next to it.

    Any ideas?
