Uploads Folder Permissions

  • Sometimes the featured image selected by WordPress is not ideally cropped so I like to replace it but the permissions WordPress sets won’t let me so I have to hassle my host to change them.

    Surely there must be a way to tell WordPress to give “owner” read, write and execute permissions?

    Actually, the permissions are 644 which is correct for “owner” however the owner is not me!
