• I’m a user of WP; my son installed it, but is unavailable to help right now.

When I try to upload a PDF to my blog, it then appears as a file named: https://mysite.com/wordpress//../../../tmp/myfile.pdf instead of the usual https://mysite.com/wordpress/wp-content/2008/NN/myfile.pdf.

The “tmp” file is not available for use, though it then appears in the Browse window. Attempting to access it after inserting it results in a “404-Not Found” error

Also, all of my uploaded previously-uploaded PDF’s fail to appear in the Browse window. (They ARE still functional, but I can’t access them via the Browse button.)

Any thoughts, or has anyone had this happen and fixed it? Thanks.

Well, I found a thread on the WP-Advanced forum that appears to be my problem. The thread title is: Weird and Dangerous : ro8kfbsmag.txt

If someone understands this and can summarize the steps my son has to do to get my site cleaned up, I’d appreciate it. I assume he should upgrade WP, but anything else?

I’m having the exact same issues – it’s killing my whole blog. I can’t post.

Anyone else having the same issues?

I am having the same problem and need help fixing.
