Hi, all in a sudden the content of all my tables have a uppercase character at the beginning. How can I prevent this?

The HTML at the start of the table looks:

    figure class=”wp-block-table is-style-stripes has-medium-font-size” style=”text-transform:none”>

So no idea why it is still tranforing.

    Anybody can help me please??

    Thanks a lot in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Nobody?

Hello @saskiaherm thanks for reaching out!

On my test site without plugins, I’ve created a table containing texts in lowercase, but the first letter did not change to uppercase. I also searched for any reported bugs regarding this issue but found none.

Could you please create a test page with tables and lowercase texts to see if the first letter changes to uppercase? Make sure to check if there is a specific plugin enabled that could affect text in tables.

    Thank you for your response.

If I create a new table in Standard layout it is OK, but as soon as I change the layout to Stripes, it changes the first charaters into uppercase.

    Hi @saskiaherm !

I also tested the exact scenario you mentioned and the first character did not change to uppercase. This rules out the theme as a plausible reason it is occurring for you.

From your screenshot initially shared it looks like the first character in the table is also a link. Have you checked if you have CSS code added to the site that you tested removing to see if this behaviour continues ?

Also, had you tested this exact behavior with plugins disabled on your site ?
