UPS and Free Shipping in same cart errors

Hey guys, I’m having an issue in my cart with a conflict between items shipped UPS and items with free shipping.

When I have a regular item in the cart UPS calculates shipping just fine. When I just have a “Free Shipping” item in the cart the shipping is free. But when I have both in cart, the UPS plugin adds the weight of the Free Shipping item instead of negating it.

Plugins I”m using are the UPS Shipping Method and Table Rate Shipping.

I’m not sure if there is a special snippet I need to put in to have the cart negate the Free Shipping item or what but this is the last piece I need to finish the site.
