We noticed the following error on a website today. When we publish a CPT and leave the backend editing mode (back to overview), the post is automatically set to draft even though an expiration date is set in the next year or even if the function is not activated for the post.
So the plugin always sets a post to draft again after a repeated publication. In the settings, we had only set that each new post submitted has an expiration date for 3 months and should change to the draft status.

In summary, this means that each post cannot be republished after the first publication because the plugin automatically sets the post to the “Draft” status again and again, regardless of the settings.
How can we solve this problem?

We now had to completely deactivate the plugin on the website for the time being because otherwise the customer would not be able to work.

    Best regards

    Hi @silva8899

    Thanks for using PublishPress Future.

I did not see this issue in my testing. Can you inform me what PublishPress Future version you are using?

    Thanks,

    Hi @rizaardiyanto

We had this two plugins installed Screenshot: https://prnt.sc/BnJmbudC6BwG with latest versions…

We had to deactivated both, because of this issue. The Checklist Plugin caused a PHP error on the line 781 on many post-ids

@silva8899 For the Future issue, can you please share some screencast how it behaves?

While for Checklists issue, can you let me know what PHP version you are using?

    Hi @rizaardiyanto ,

Unfortunately, the solution was not shown in the video. The job ad has reverted to the draft.

    Hi Riza,
the problem still occurs even if we have disabled both plugins. So I took a look at the database and found something very strange.
Although I have disabled both Publishpress plugins (Future & Checklist) but not deleted them, the cron jobs are still active.
If you look at the screenshot, all cron jobs are active even though the plugin is disabled. That shouldn’t be the case, of course. What do you think?

    Hi @silva8899

    Thanks for the video.

Just to clarify, the cron job is still active even though the plugin is disabled. This is expected behavior because once a cron job is created, it remains in the database. Deactivating the plugin does not remove the existing cron job from the database.

The setup on your site seems complex, and without access to the site, we will not be able to carry out further investigation. Please note that logging into your site for deeper troubleshooting is part of our Pro member support.

For now, the solution may be to delete any leftover cron jobs that are no longer being used before republishing the job post.
