    Can anyone help please – my website can’t go live until I have fixed this (and it has been in the maintenance mode for the past 24 hrs while I’m setting Woocommrence and transition from my old platform)

    I’m setting up my woocommerce – and when I did a test purchase as a customer – my product (download) is on hold (I have not receiced the download link) – due to

    ” a validation error: Paypal IPN response from a different email address.”

    I have 2 email addresses linked to my business account, so this should not make any difference.

    If this email address is different – what is it different from?? where is the email setting which must be identical to the paypal IPN response??

    I’m glad that you found the solution to this. In case others come across this thread, you can find your PayPal email settings under the WooCommerce > Settings > Payments tab. From there, click Manage for PayPal.

    On the following page, you’ll want to ensure that your PayPal email and Receiver email are correct. Typically speaking these two emails should always match. In situations where you have multiple emails attached to your PayPal account, the Receiver Email MUST be the primary receiver email address from PayPal.
