    Hey

    I was editing something in buddypress and idk what happened and ALL my website is down and when go to any page I see this error “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/66/11402666/html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php on line 1032″

    PLEASE help me what should I do?

    and why if I edite something with buddypress my whole website will go down?

  • Try logging to FTP and rename the “buddypress” folder to something else in wp-content/plugins directory. That will disable BuddyPress and the error will be gone.

    After that, I will advise downloading a fresh copy of BuddyPress and uploading it to your plugins directory for future use.

    but in that case I will lose all the data and topics in the forum or what?

    I had a backup of the that file and reuploaded it but the new one has around 2400 line while the old one which I uploaded it now has 1032 line but nothing seems to be changed on the website so may that affect things or hidden things like functioning the forum and that things?

    Most probably, the files were not completely uploaded. If you see any issue, the best thing will be to reupload the whole buddypress plugin.

    No, updating a file will not affect your settings.
