URGENT help please. My site and wp-admin have vanished!

    I have just refreshed my web page and it went all black. I then went into my site url/wp-admin and that whole page is blank. It is just blank. There is nothing there.

    The last thing I did was install the Visitor Maps and Who’s Online plug in. Since then I can’t see anything. I’ve lost it all!!! I just can’t believe this is happening. All that work and it has vanished.

    Can anyone advise what to do?

    try:

    – switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or or whatever file management application your host provides. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    can you provide a link to the site please?
    can still you login here: url/wp-login.php ?

    NO NEED! – RESOLVED – SEE BELOW!!!

    When I log into WordPress VIA my site url/wp-admin all I get is a blank page. I can’t do anything. There are no buttons, no posts or pages section, just blank nothingness.

    I can’t log in VIA the php bit either.

    RESOLVED!!!

    I went into the files via my ftp client, filezilla. I then found the folder for the latest plug in that I downloaded. There it showed the plugin by time order so I knew it was the right one. So I deleted it off my server via clicking delete in the ftp program. Then refreshed both my website and the wp-admin and I can not only see my website but edit it in wordpress as normal.

    What a bizarre and horrible thing to happen.

    Massive thanks go to keesiemeijer for pointing me in the right direction with the ftp client!!!

    Yeah it is all resolved thanks. I took my link down as I’m still working on the site. At least I can edit it now!
