Urgent help required! Editor not working

  • Hey guys,

    i have what appears to be a serious problem with the wordpress editor. Whenever i change some code and hit the ‘update file’ button, the area that shows the code is cleared to a blank page, despite getting the message that the ‘file edited successfully’. if i then try and add some new code and hit the update button, still nothing happens, the area remains blank. Does anyone know why this is happening? Any help would be much appreciated as it is destroying my theme. I have attached a screenshot so you can see for yourself what happens. Thanks for any help,

  • You should really never use the editor, it’s really bad practice (unless you’re changing a bit of text or a string). Use an FTP or even connect in dreamweaver or something.

    You could have an error in your php which is causing this, but being hidden by the editor or any number of things.
