URGENT: How to remove extra slug

    @wpautoterms URGENT: already purchased the pro license to remove slug “autoterms” from the page url
    Its not accepting empty value. How to remove the slug so that its <site name>/<legal-page>?

    Unfortunately, completely removing the slug part is not possible. At least one word/character is required, such as “legal”.

    You don’t tell that on free plugin , you say to change buy pro. Now client wants it to be removed as they bought pro version under the impression that it will be removed. Please fix it and release next version of plugin. PLEASE TREAT THIS AS URGENT.

    We’ll update the text in the next version of the plugin to clarify this.

    Unfortunately, that part of the slug can be updated but it cannot be completely removed.

    As I mentioned in my email, I can refund the license key, not an issue.

    Question: why slug cannot be completely empty?

    The “without slug part” is reserved by normal WordPress Pages. See:

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-permalinks/#choosing-your-permalink-structure

    The only workaround is to create the legal pages, create normal WP pages and copy-paste the contents to these new pages.
