    Hi Crossi72, I hope you can help me swiftly.

    We are running a multilanguage site with WPML (Dutch primary language, English secondary language). We recently installed your plugin (version 3.2.3) and started renaming the filenames of images in our Media Libary. We do this in the Dutch language version of our back-end library.

    After renaming them, the images show in both languages in our articles which are created with Elementor Pro and all seems to be good. However, in Elementor Pro we can add elements that show e.g. our most recent blogposts or e.g. blogposts in a certain category. This is being ran by a query. Here, the images are not updated in the English language and it shows a blank space (no image).

    When we go to the Media Libary in the English language, it also does not show the images in our English libary.

    An example can be found by going to this page and scrolling down to the ‘related posts’ section. https://travelfamily.nl/e-chopper-tour-the-best-and-most-fun-way-to-explore-the-dune-and-flower-bulb-region/?lang=en

    You will find that two related posts for which I have renamed the images using your plugin do not show an image anymore. However, when you go to the article the images do show. So the issue is clearly in the query from Elementor pro it seems.

    As this gives a very unprofessional appearance we would really appreciate your quick assistance. Furthermore we’re loving the plugin, but for now we do not use it for other images until this is solved.

    Many thanks,
    Goort

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    I fixed similar issues with WPML some years ago, but it seems they changed something and broke again something.

    I will try to fix the issue as soon as possible, but WPML’ authors doesn’t support other developers giving access to free development version and Phoenix Media Rename is free, so I can’t buy licenses of other plugin (I use polylang on my multilanguage sites).

    I’ll look for information on how they store data, but i don’t know how long it will take, if you can’t wait you can use the (paid) plugin Media File Renamer, that works well with WPML.

    I’ll let you know as soon as a new release is ready.

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    I found that WPML has a support program for plugin developers, I requested their help to address the issue.

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    I’ve fixed the issue and everything works well on my development server, I’m testing the solution on WPML testing environment and it seems that there is still some problem with their configuration.

    I hope to release the updated version later today or next Monday.

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    I just sent to WPML support the new version of Phoenix Media Rename to let them validate the compatibility, if they don’t report any issue, I’ll release it in a few hours.

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    I’ve (finally) released version 3.2.4 that fixes WPML compatibility issue.

    I’m sorry I made you wait, but the compatibility check took a long time.

    Let me know if you find other issues.

    Hi @crossi72 ,

    Thank you so much, it works like a charm!
    One remark; we noted that when changing the file name it keeps on loading forever. But by simply refreshing the page it stops and it shows the updated file name. Just so you know, no major issue.

    Hi @travelfamily1,
    yesterday I released version 3.2.5 that fixes one issue like the one you reported, did you use version 3.2.4 or 3.2.5?

    A user reported an issue about bulk renaming (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/renaming-single-bulk-images-not-working-properly-as-of-lately/) and he found that the problem was due to an increased memory usage by latest WordPress version, he resolved changing the memory limits, can you try to add the following rows in your wp-config.pho file?

    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );
    define( ‘WP_MAX-MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘512M’ );

    Let me know if the issue persists.
