Hello everyone, thank you for you attention.

I’ve updated Wordfence a couple of days ago and now I cannot access my website from the backend.

    It shows:
‘CODE REQUIRED: Please provide your 2FA code when prompted.’,
but no place where to insert the code is shown.

I’ve also cleared the cache through Cloudflare but nothing changes.

I have no idea about what to do, I am totally locked out.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve followed your instructions; easy and clear as always.

Let’s see in the following days if this is going to fix our issue.

    Fingers crossed.

    SIncerely,
    F.

    Good morning,
I just tried to access and the vicious message appeared, again:
‘CODE REQUIRED: Please provide your 2FA code when prompted.’.

Could it be a bug correlated to the plugin I am using?
    ‘Essential Real Estate’

I don’t know what to do anymore

Could you send me a new diagnostic now after all these changes?

Can you send a diagnostic report to wftest @ wordfence . com? You can find the link to do so at the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Then click on “Send Report by Email”. Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here after you have sent it.

I am thinking that a plugin or theme is causing the conflict.

    Good evening,
‘Diagnostic report has been sent successfully.’.

Let me know and happy Christmas Adam!

    Sincerely,
    F.

Thanks for sending that diagnostic! Hope your holidays went well!

I am not seeing anything out of place on the diagnostic that might be causing this issue. Do you use a custom login page or do you use the normal wp-admin and wp-login page?

Just looking back over the screenshots you had sent me, I am still thinking this is a browser that is auto-populating the logins and causing the issue. Could you confirm this issue from another browser for me again to make sure you are getting the same error message?

I looked over the Essential Real Estate plugin and I don’t see anything that would be causing a login issue.

    Thanks!

Hello Adam, I wish your holidays went well too!

I just tried from Safari and I have the exact same issue as in Chrome.

Yes, I do use a custom login page, the one generated from Essential Real Estate, if you go on the website and you click on LOGIN on the top right section of the MENU, you’ll see it.

Is this possibly related to the problem?

    Thank you,
    Francesco

That would have to be the issue then. Our 2FA only works with the wp-login and wp-admin pages.

    Sorry about that!

Oh, you did it! thank you.

How would you suggest to solve the problem? Considering that I have 2 users, one that works from the backend(me) and one that works on the front-end.

The one working from the front-end would require the ‘default login page’ in order to accede, I suppose.

Still the second one cannot accede from there since the 2FA doesn’t work.

    I don’t see any solution..
Having two different login pages could solve the problem?

    Thank you,
    F.

Couldn’t both of you use the wp-login page with 2FA enabled for administrators?

Then once you’re in the dashboard, couldn’t you make the changes needed through the plugin? Sorry, I am unfamiliar with the Essential Real Estate plugin.

    Thanks!

    Ummm, yes! That works.

Still f I write my ‘domain/wp-login’, my website shows ‘This page doesn’t seem to exist.
    It use to appear instantly.

Now ‘domain/wp-login’ doesn’t exist, and I only can accede it through adding a .php at the end. How’s that possible? Do you know if i could bring it back to the default ‘domain/wp-login’ in order to show the login page?

    Thank you Adam,
    we’re almost there ??
