Urgent: problem in nextgen gallery please please help

Hi,
I have created similar thread 3 days ago in plugins and hacks folder. But no one is bothering to reply, I bumped it 13 times but no one answered. It hurts me when I see such response on a community which is meant to stay together. So here I am:
I am using next gen gallery plugin. I want that when I click individual images in the gallery rather than displaying in thick box they open in a new page of a custom template .
I know it has been posted before people say to create nggallery folder in theme root and use template namexyz as short code where you want to disply . But when I do that I get “Rendering of template gallery-a.php failed” message. I also tried to put the template file in view folder but again same problem. Please any help will be appreciated.
