URGENT! – the plugin has corrputed my website

  • HELP!

    I installed and activated this plugin, but then decided that it is not what I want, and deactivated and uninstalled it.

    To my shock and horror, I saw that it has corrupted something in my WP, as my Podcast PAGE (on which I had all the info about my upcoming podcast) is BLOCKED with an error message:

    ERROR: This is not a valid feed template

    I have cleared the full cache, logged off and then on to my WP – still the same. The plugin is completely uninstalled, and I don’t have any other podcasting plugins!!! what is going on??

    I am REALLY, REALLY not happy, as I’m already promoting my upcoming podcast, and this block will prevent my visitors from seeing the info, – and the lack of REAL time Libsyn tech support is extremmely inefficient and problematic – and to put it simply – inadequate.

    I did not see the warning on Libsyn website that this pluguin will block any page with the PODCAST title. or that it is only in BETA. I want to have my PODCAST PAGE with the player, not posts – that’s whyt I decided NOT to use this plugin.

    Because of the time difference (I’m in Australia) it takes 2-3 days to get Libsyn reply to my email tickets.

    Can someone PLEASAE help me to remove this glitch whatever it is that this plugin has left in my WP!

    Please note that I have only a basic knowledge of html and coding, so step by step instructions what to do would be much appreciated.

    The Libsyn Podcasting Plugin is intended for use with Libsyn Account users. If you host your podcast feed using another WordPress plugin then the Libsyn Podcast plugin would not be recommended for you.

    The Libsyn Podcasting plugin does use the shortcode “podcast” for blog posts, so if you have another plugin installed which uses the “podcast” namespace for a shortcode it may cause problems. If your site is not working properly after uninstall, then it would be something other than the Libsyn Podcast plugin which is causing the error since the shortcode for “podcast” will be available once it is uninstalled.

    I will be happy to test for any conflicts to help you troubleshoot your problem. Can you send a list of your installed plugins?

    When I installed your plugin I did have a Libsyn hosting account and did not have any other podcasting plugins or any plugin with the word “podcast” in it. I did not have anything else in my WP that had any link to “feed”.

    So when I uninstalled the plugin, and my page was still blocked with that error message – the cause WAS the Libsyn plugin. I could not wait for days until I get a response on this forum, and my emails for URGENT help to your support remained unanswered for – you guessed it – a week (just like in this post).

    I immediately troubleshooted the error with my website host – to no evail, and the only remedy was to reinstall the website from backup.

    I have since closed my Libsyn account as your level of support is inadequate for my needs and moved my podcast to BluBrry where they monitor customer emails 24/7 and offer a call option for urgent issues. What Libsyn lacks to understand is that with everything live online TIME is of essence and the responsive, high quality customer support is paramount. Attending to customer emails (with no other contact option available) in 3 – 5 days is simply not good enough.

    So thank you for offer, however it is too little too late. My podcast is happily up and running with BluBrry.
