URGENT: update WordPress 5.4 is stuck

    Maybe your site has got in maintenance mode and not getting out of it.

    Please check if your wordpress root directory has a file named as ‘.maintenance’. If yes, thene delete that file and again check for update.

    Thank you for your comment, unfortunately i don’t have any files with this name and i still have the same problem.

    Apologies for the delayed response. I think there is some file permission issue.

    Please check if you are able to install any new plugin or theme on the site. Also check if you can add any new media file on the site.

    If the answers to above questions is yes, then it’s not file permission issue. It’s an issue with your WP files. I will suggest to update all WP Core files manually.
