Urgent: why I am seeing the page in admin but 404 after publish it?

    Hi folks,

    I have a wp website, I finished it locally and tried to take it online:

    I finished all Export and import, in the live site’s wp-admin, I went to see my page, I can see it in the Visual/HTML modes, but after I publish it , or go directly to view it, it gives me 404 error.

    I tried to create a new page, I also got 404 error.

    Why?

    try: re-save the Permalink Settings to create .htaccess file

    Thanks. Can you be elaborate more details? I am very new to WP.Org, my experience is limited to WP.Com
