URL access for file links

I uploaded a file in WordPress and created a link of that file in a post.
Then i denied access to the url of that uploaded file, but when i clicked the file link in the post, it still opens.
Ex of the url restricted:
/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/dummy1.pdf
