URL disappears from BCTT if I check use short on podcast

    Let’s see if I can explain this…
    It’s a 3 way issue:

    When I use BCTT on a written post I get the full tweet with the URL and Twitter handle REGARDS OF IF I USE “SHORT URL” OR NOT.

    Ex 1: Of BCTT on written post without “Short URL” selected.
    Lay-leader’s must live a life of Loving God & Loving Others. https://leadinghisleaders.com/in-laymens-terms/ via @LeadHisLeaders

    Ex 2: Of BCTT on written post with “Short URL” selected.
    Lay-leader’s must live a life of Loving God & Loving Others. https://wp.me/p8kiBU-9x via @LeadHisLeaders

    The URL is present in both uses of BCTT.

    Now for podcast.

    Ex 3: Of BCTT on podcast post without “Short URL” selected.
    Perseverance doesn’t happen on accident. https://leadinghisleaders.com/podcast/side-by-side-with-greggory-david/ via @LeadHisLeaders

    URL is present

    Ex 4: Of BCTT on podcast post with “Short URL” selected.
    Perseverance doesn’t happen on accident. via @LeadHisLeaders

    No URL….

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Can you give me a link to a malfunctioning shortcode? Even if you need to make a “hidden” podcast (not sure if that’s possible) so that I can see the breakage in action.

    My first thought is that the podcast post type is somehow misconfiguring either the return URL, or not porperly allowing shortcodes. Let me know the following:

    1. WHat plugin or solution are you using to create the podcast pages?
    2. Can I see a live link to one of those pages?
    3. What other plugins are you using currently?
    4. WHat theme are you using?

    Let me know, and we’ll get to the bottom of this.
