Thanks for reaching out @beckyaffinity. From the checks I performed on your site, it looks like you are using a standard wp-admin path as per the callback URL. I did notice a /wp reference where you may have your WordPress files located (from reviewing your sites source code and your public rest endpoints). This could be potentially be impacting Site Kit set up if you had the plugin connected previously with a different setup.

To determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Was the plugin setup previously on this site, maybe before making a site URL change or with WordPress files in the root directory as opposed to a /wp directory? I ask as if there are traces of a previous set up, the plugin may be looking for records for a previous set up. If you can revert to that set up, I suspect you will be able to complete setup. At that point you can reset the plugin so all records are cleared (Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit), before then moving WordPress files into it’s own directory once more.

Once we have the above information, we can advise on this further. One troubleshooting suggest we may advise on, is to manually add the /wp path to the callback URL on the page you land on.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    2. I don’t believe this plugin was used previously but will try the steps above.

Many thanks for the update @beckyaffinity. As it sounds like you already reset the plugin based on your comments, I requested a check of your site records on the Site Kit service. This may take a couple of days before I have an update, but once I do, I’ll let you know. At this stage you should be able to complete Site Kit set up.

Note also that if you prefer not to wait, you may be able to proceed with set up following the steps below. This will, however, result in your site URL defaulting to a non www version.

    1. Visit your site settings (Settings > General).
    2. Remove the www prefix from both your WordPress address (URL) and your and site address (URL) from https://www.sherwincurrid.... to https://sherwincurrid..... (Ie. remove only the www from both addresses, with no change the /wp path)
    3. Press the save button.
    4. Attempt Site Kit setup once more after logging back into your site.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above, or if you have tried changing your site address above.

Thanks, we’ll give that a go and wait to hear from you.

We’ve changed the site config and the plugin is now working. Please let me know when you have a fix and we can revert back to www.

    Have you got an update?

    Plugin Support James Osborne

    (@jamesosborne)

Thanks for the update @beckyaffinity. I did hear back today regarding a check of your records. It looks like the records don’t reflect any /wp path. I requested to clear those records, which will hopefully be complete today.

As you’re now already connected, rather than waiting to clear your records, if you wish you can revert what you’ve already done. This may allow you to proceed, with your standard URL (which includes the www prefix). The steps are the same as provided previously, only this time you’re adding the www prefix. See below:

    1. Visit your site settings (Settings > General).
    2. Remove the www prefix from both your WordPress address (URL) and your and site address (URL) from?https://sherwincurrid....?to?https://www.sherwincurrid.....?
    3. Press the save button.
    4. Attempt Site Kit setup once more after logging back into your site.

I can’t guarantee the above will allow you to proceed, as it depends on your WordPress constants and the previous site records. But do let me know how you get on. If you are able to proceed, I’ll cancel the request to clear your site records.

I’ll let you know as soon as I have an update on this. This should be addressed at some stage today. At that point you can attempt set up once more.
