Url instead of username problem

Here are 2 screenshots I posted on my website … it replaces the username with a link.

It are screenshots taken from the users activity screen, same problem on the “activity page”.

I believe that you added URL on the Name field. That’s why it’s showing like that. Please go to your account profile settings page, and check if you add URL instead of text on the Name field. ??

What exactly do you mean with “Account profile settings page” ? .. the settings in the plug-in itself ? .. or on the front-end ?

front-end –> Profile –> Profile settings ?

Or directly in the settings of the plug-in ?

Because I can’t find any name field that I added a URL , I checked ALL settings from the plug-in. And it’s not only with my account, it’s the same thing with the accounts of all users.

And from what page exactly do you want me to take a screenshot please ?

I also updated the permalinks, doesn’t change anything either.

I created four accounts myself .. and in all accounts .. in the user profile front-end , like in your screenshot .. it are the usernames that are shown there .. not a url .. in all four accounts it’s just the username ..

But I Think I found it .. What is the meta_key of the username ?

havent found it yet .. but I think it has to do with the meta_key

If you register as a member you have to fill in the “username” .. that field has a meta_key attached to it.. so if I know what that meta_key from the “user field” is, then I think I can fix it.

Please try disable Youzify and keep BuddyPress active. And see if this issue persist or not.

With youzify disabled and only buddypress enabled , the problem still exists.

In the reactions it uses the “username” , but in the activity stream (posts or firendship etc ..”, it is still showing a “url” .

So the problem does not come from Youzify but the BuddyPress itself. Are you sure the member does not add URL on the Field Name? Can you send me a screenshot of the user Profile Field please?

I finally found it…. Ultimate member was also still installed on the wordpress site.. it gave a conflict, I removed it and the problem was fixed.
