URL mapping

Hi,
I have started my own wordpress site after using the ones available at wordpress.com. However on my wordpress.com account the post are displayed like this:
https://helikid.wordpress.com/2010/09/19/post_name/
however on my own hosted site I get:
How do I make the URL mapping correct? Is it possible or is it a server thing?
Any help greatly appreciated
