url not opening in target blank

  • Hi there,

    I’m trying to include a link to my site at the bottom of this site I’m currently working on.
    I checked the code several times but can’t seem to find where I made a mistake but the url doesn’t open in a new window even though I set up the target as blank.

    ANy idea where I could have made a snytax error ?

    thanks for moving the topic, I find it difficult to find the right place to post as I navigated to a bunch of topics hwere I had no possibility to post ??

    ALso the code I included has been removed – is there a reason for that ? I guess people can see it by using the dev tools in the navigator but I was hoping to simplify it for people helping out ??

    Oh did you wrap your code in backticks? Maybe it looked like a signature because it was parsed by the forum. If you wrap code in backticks then it remains as code, like such:

    The target blank works for me in Chrome desktop. The problem with target of blank is that some browsers treat it differently, i.e. in new windows instead of new tabs. Is that what you’re seeing? Also worth clearing your browser’s cache or trying in incognito.

    thanks for getting back to me.

    I am using firefox and clenaed my cache. THe url opens in the same window taking me away from my client site ??

    I tried a while back and it did worked not sure why it doesn’t function anymore …

    Very strange because it’s working for me in Firefox 64.0. We’re looking at the same link right? I’m looking at “juliet”.
