    Hi,

    It’s not working.

It is trying to login to my computer at “Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:5480.”

The actual web address it should be using is https://www.vex.net/~jyd/Blog/

How can I change this? I did a search of all the scripts in Dreamweaver and could find no reference to “127.0.0.1:5480”

Should I uninstall and run it again from the Shell on the Server?

  • 127.0.0.1 is the localhost as in the machine you are on. Not sure what port 5480 is. You need to provide more information like if you installed it on your onw machine as the host etc

    Thanks for the comeback.
I FTP’d all the WordPress files to the remote server
I used Firefox to run the ‘wp-install.php’ file by pathing to it in the Browser.
My install was acknowledged by WordPress but when I call up the login, still using Firefox, all the links reference my local machine.

I am wondering if I should have logged into the remote Shell and run the install file from there.

Also wondering if there is something in the code I could modify to make it reference the remote Host instead of my local machine.
